Arrangement File
How it works
A simple look at what you get in Massachusetts — and where the numbers come from. Other states are not live yet.
One place to see nearby options and what each place posts.
What a file shows
Each funeral home or cemetery has a file: address and contact details, plus fee lines taken from that place’s own posted price list (a General Price List or cemetery rate sheet) when we have one.
- On file — an amount from their posted list, with a quiet link back to that document when available.
- Not listed yet — that line isn’t on the sheet we have, or we don’t have a current list for that place yet. The cell stays blank rather than guessing.
Where the numbers come from
We gather what’s already posted by the facility — their own PDF or municipal page — so you can explore without calling every door first. Dates (when the list was effective, when we retrieved it) appear when we have them.
Comparing a short list
With a family Pass you can open a few files side by side on the same fee lines, then take that into a family conversation. Organizations who help families regularly can subscribe for ongoing seats.
What we don’t do
Arrangement File does not choose a funeral home or cemetery for you, offer grief counseling, financing, packages, or booking, or give legal, Medicaid, or benefits advice. No rankings, “cheapest,” featured homes, or lead-gen placement.
A note on consumer rights
- Under the FTC Funeral Rule, families have a right to a General Price List from funeral providers.
- In Massachusetts, the Board of Registration of Funeral Directors and Embalmers publishes consumer information through the Commonwealth’s licensing resources.
